Miscellaneous

The primary reason for going to Alaska was to see the grandaughters, of course.

In the wine
Make me happy
Make me feel fine…”!

Checking out the Matanuska River Park.

At the trailhead; here we go!

A branch curls down into the ground.

Looking north up the Matanuska River.

And looking south.

Zoey didn't last too long on the hike.

Fortunately she doesn't weigh much.

After hiking we hit the park playground.

We came back to Matanuska River Park a few days later.  This time we crossed the pedestrian bridge.

Mimi and her girls with Matanuska River with Pioneer Peak in the background.

Back at the trailhead.

Showing off on a big rock.

Relaxing at the house with a nice view of Maw-Maw mountain (Pioneer Peak).

An ice cream truck drove by.  The girls were on it!

Enjoying the ice pops.

Zoey walking the dog while Sprinkles the cat looks on with obvious disapproval.

Totally hair Zoey.

Pretty princess Zoey.

Today we're hiking the Crevasse-Moraine Trail.

It was all smiles at first.

Then we started getting tired and hot.

Then the mosquitos hit us.  It was ridiculous.  It was unbearable.  We turned around and retreated back up the trail.

Parker climbing the hill.

Too bad the mosquitoes were so bad; it was pretty country.

Parker showing off a new outfit.

Parker riding her bike while I try and keep up.
